The Kero way :3 (Yay for me buying me a subscription btw...)

I here will tell you a tale of my popular waiz. (oh lawd) Really it does not take fan art OR tracing anime screen shots, or whoring other people's pages, or giving false love to other people, watching them, and then unwatching them... Here is how i got to where i am today (which is not all that much XD)

I started out on DA with a whole bunch of crappy oekaki. But after making this account i didn't really bother with it for a while. DA didn't interest me all that much, i knew it wouldn't get me anywhere.

Then a friend of mine told me about this amazing club called The ... in which he submitted his Pokemon gijinka of Dialga and got 1000 FUCKING PAGEVIEWS. Back then just that tiny number seemed so amazing to me... so after a while i created my amazingly bad Palkia gijinka...: [link]

which... actually brought me up with the page views thing, and some 5 people actually took interest in my work. I was so excited that i started drawing more, and more and more and more... which brings me to the key objective of receiving recognition:

Just... submit a lot of art, all the time...

I'm not even kidding, thats all ._.; The more images you submit, the more there is a chance of someone seeing it on frontage (the old front page... now it's kinda fucked up) The more images you produce, more people might see it, and thats what i did in the summer, i drew nonstop which got me up to maybe 20-30 watchers, which was A LOT back then.( now i have 1000+...) I was so grateful and happy for all the little support those people gave me, that it just made me want to become better.

With time i got better at oekaki, obtained photoshop and actually managed to figure it out on my own. Always learning, always doing something, ALWAYS drawing. And surely sharing the progress with my increasing crowd of seemingly interested people.

Then i read Death Note, got really confused as to "HOW THE FUCK would anyone come up with L and Light sharing an erotic relationship" when they fucking hate each other, and one wants to get the other... and thats when i lost all my faith in today's fan girls, those creatures are fucking insane. So within my Death note phase i drew that L picture : [link] Which is to this day receiving many faves and love from fan girls all around. The huge success and sudden popularity of the image got to my head, which made me create an LxLight bondage picture: [link] and another half naked L : [link] and my last sin was the Death Note meme. All of which were loved more than anything in my gallery, EVER. And with that i ended my page view whore-ness. I was more of a fave whore though...

In any case. After that little panic attack, any fan art i made was purely because i wanted to draw the characters for myself, and not anyone else's amusement.

So in conclusion : Fanart will give you lots of false love, whereas submitting lots of artwork will give you respect and long lasting effects.
